It fell towards the guardian instead, flung by the sudden forward jerk as Zero staggered and collapsed. An unnatural, static-like spark crackled across his armour before everything went dark.
For a moment he was completely still, lifeless. But only a second later, an otherworldly glow bloomed out from inside him, rapidly overtaking his entire body until he was utterly engulfed in light.
