Fuck that. No, fuck THEM. This letter proved that the Hands KNEW what was going on, and therefore could have informed them earlier. Could have, but didn't. They were basically playing around with every life on that damned planet, and not everyone got out alive. Clearly the pile of crap they're showcasing in this letter is just the tip of some scatological iceberg that he can only begin to guess the depth of. This shit infuriates him in a way that only one other man really had before, and the last he saw of HIM, he was eradicated in every way that can be described in modern science.
