Walk like a man, etc etc.
Who: Humanized robutts, Rock, Lucca
What: An impromptu class on How to Human
Where: Myriad rooms in the mansion
When: February 26
Warnings: Health-class stuff, bodily fluids, boring lectures, a total lack of privacy.
At first, Lucca didn't believe Rock when he'd said that Zero had turned human. Maybe it was just a really elaborate upgrade module that he'd found in that disc, after all. But she agreed to take a look for herself and to help him get used to having a flesh-and-blood body.
Knowing Zero, he probably didn't want her help, but she was going to give it anyway.

Examining the disc
The Fateful Moment
He knocked on the door that belonged to Lucca, hoping she was there, the strange disk clutched in his hands. Hopefully she would be able to figure it out.

Lucca opened the door and smiled when she saw him. "Hi, Rock!"
He seemed troubled, and that did register. However it was only when she kissed him, that she first realized that something was wrong.
Well... not "wrong" really, but different. His lips, and the shoulder she touched, didn't have the electric saturation to it that she'd gotten used to. Instead, his skin held the warmth and subdued perpetual motion of something alive. She slowly leans back.
"Rock? Are you okay? Something about you is... different."

"Yeah... Um... This is gonna sound weird, and try not to freak out, but... I'm human now? At least for the time being?" he tried to explain, hoping she'd believe him.

...
"You're not kidding? You're actually human?! But, but how?"
She touches him again, this time inquisitively stroking his hair and cheek, getting used to him as a real boy... friend.

But he quickly snapped himself back to reality. He had to remember Zero and Harpuia. He held up the disk. "Zero, Harpuia, and I were cleaning up, and we found this. We all touched it, there was this blinding light, and... We all ended up like this."

There'd be plenty of time for that later, Rock."This thing? It looks like just a normal disk."
Lucca reaches up and ALMOST touches it, then bites her lip and curls her fingers back as she realizes better. She then turns back and produces a pair of calipers, plucking it awkwardly from his hand that way instead. Better safe than sorry.
"...Hold on. Zero is human too? AND Harupia? Ho boy... How're they taking it?" From what she knew of the two, the answer was probably "not very well."

"It's basically rejects our reality and substitutes its own. Specifically, the one in which you and the other two are human! Wow... I haven't seen anything that bent reality THIS sharply in a long time!"
Or rather, she won't YET see it for a long time. It's a long story. She turns back to her boyfriend.
"How're you feeling, Rock? I know you took care of Dr. Light, so you have to at least have an idea of what humans need, but I bet that it's different when you're the one that's alive."

He looked down at himself, so familiar and yet now so different. "I feel... Different," he said. "Like I know it's me? But everything feels weird. Good weird! I mean, you kissing me felt really good. It always felt amazing, just this time felt different from before. Also, I think I'm hungry..." He put his hand on his stomach. "I can hear my stomach making noises, and before, that usually meant a malfunction!"
Lesson 1: Keeping your body fueled
Lucca hefted the tray of sandwiches (Thankfully not prepared by herself, seeing as they weren't charred.) and placed them on the table.
"Here's the thing. You're human now, and while you don't need e-tanks or a power pack to recharge, you DO need food. Think of it like stoking a furnace; you have to have to keep adding fuel to keep the fire going. You'll have a lot more energy that way."
Lesson 2: Proper drainage.
[In an attempt to balance privacy with instruction, she'd given them a bit of a warning as to what they had to expect, and left them to handle it once they closed the bathroom door.]
[That... MIGHT be enough? Maybe. Probably. Hopefully.]
Lesson 3: Not being a stupid and hurting yourself.
She had heard about Zero's injury less than thirty seconds after he'd been turned human, but was at least thoughtful enough to wait until Rock was out of the room before she mentioned this. Boys and their pride, seriously...
"But neither can you. Not... in the way you're thinking, anyway. Your body will self-repair now that it's fully alive. But the thing is, it will heal slowly, there will be pain involved, and some injuries you just can't recover from."
She grabs some gauze.
"I'm gonna show you some basic first aid, but what I really want you to do is protect yourself and know your limitations, so you don't get hurt in the first place."
