Gravity's a ditch! [Open]

Who: Judy Hopps and YOU! (First prompt locked to a certain fox.)
What: A strange non-Pokemon bunny has appeared on the main island!
Where: The forest on the outskirts of the main island (locked to Nick), then around the main island (Open)
When: 6/24

[Locked to Nick]

"Oof!" Well, that hurt. Judy got up and dusted herself off, looking around. It was dark, there were trees... but they weren't in the Rainforest District. For one thing, it wasn't raining.

The last thing she remembered was getting an assignment from Chief Bogo alongside Nick, and next thing she knew, she was suddenly sitting on the branch of a tree and, having noticed that fact, gracefully landed on the ground. (She actually swan-dived into the ground by accident.) She shook her head, looking around again. If this wasn't the Rainforest District, then where was she? ... And where was Nick, for that matter?

This island sure was strange. Finding out this wasn't exactly Zootopia, or likely even their world was a lot for Judy to take in. There was a mansion, but she hadn't gone inside yet. There was no telling who or what was in it. She needed to be careful.

She adjusted her badge a bit before continuing on her way. There had to be more to see here.

That Certain Fox

For not being the Rainforest District, parts of this were definitely familiar. Like the part during the night howlers case where they ended up suspended upside down by vines? What a good memory, said nobody ever. Nick could see Judy, even if she didn't quite notice him yet. He was suspended above her in a tree.

"Graceful as ever, Carrots," Nick chided with a bit of a smirk. "Think you could gimme a hand here? I forgot my machete in my other pants."

"Nick?" She turned and, seeing him, grinned. "I see you're a bit tied up at the moment." But she didn't exactly have a sharp object on her to cut him loose. ... Unless...

"You might want to cover your head." And a second later, she hopped up on a couple of tree branches to make her way up to the section of the vine between Nick and the tree branch it was wrapped around. This probably wasn't the best idea, but it'd work.

She bit down on the vine, snapping it and likely causing gravity to come back into play as she hung onto the still hanging part of the vine.

"I really hope you know what you're doing," Nick replied, partially under his breath as he held his arms over his head. Sure enough, exactly what he thought was going to happen did, and he plummeted to the ground himself, flopping to his back after the collision. "I was gonna say I never signed up for this," he said, helping himself to his feet and dusting his pants off, "but then I remembered who I was partnered with. You okay up there?"

She let go of the vine and, upon landing, sported a bit of a smirk. "I'm fine, but I appreciate the concern. Didn't bump your head too hard, right?"

"Oh, terribly," Nick exaggerated, rolling his eyes. "I may even have a concussion."

He looked around them curiously, taking stock of their surroundings. "So how the heck did we end up here? You're not THAT bad a driver, and I don't remember the car going over a bridge. For that matter... Where IS here?"

Oh, a rabbit!

...But the fact that it was wearing *clothes* sort of indicated that this wasn't something to hunt. So Rene waved instead. "Hi there! Are you new here?"
