"You sure? I think I've got just the thing!" Shantae suggested with a small smirk. "I could make you look ALMOST as amazing as me!" She leaned in closer. "What do you say?"

Shifting in place a little, Ronnae looked away. "I don't know, really... It's okay. I'm fine and besides shouldn't be out and enjoying the festivities? Looking so amazing can't just be for hanging out and dressing up others." Excuses Ronnae, excuses.

"And I will have fun!" Shantae said. "But doing something nice for a friend is always worth it! Besides, Gordon isn't here and we have plenty of time before midnight! Let me work my magic on you!"

She was pretty persistent wasn't she? But then again that was one of her very attractive qualities, at least to Ronnae. Valuing conviction and that hardheadedness common in heroes was something she liked a lot.

With a heavy sigh and a small smile afterwards, Ronnae shook her head and shrugged in defeat, "You're not gonna say no huh?" she had to laugh a little. "Fair enough, I... I guess we can."

"Yes! You are not gonna regret this!" Shantae said eagerly, taking her hand and quickly leading her away from the party. Back to the living area in the mansion they went, the genie girl having an eager skip in her step as they went. Shanate already knew the way to Ronnae's room, and headed right there, practically pushing her in and shutting the door behind them. "All right!" she said, clapping her hands together and going to open some of Ronnae's drawers. "First things first, take off your clothes. All of 'em," she instructed as she started to pick out a few things.

"A-all of them?" she asked in a meek surprised voice as she looked around... Well, they WERE in the privacy of her own room and she'd changed plenty of times... If there had been any chance of her being seen, she would have been seen already. And she trusted Shantae soooo maybe it was okay.

"Oh... O-okay..."

And so she took off each piece of clothing slowly until her green skin was completely in the open.

"All right, now where in the heck-- AHA!" Shantae called out happily as she pulled her head out of Ronnae's drawers holding a matching set, black lace panties and strapless bra. She turned, beaming, seeming unfazed by Ronnae's nudity, and offered the items to her. "Here, put these on first. We need a good elegant base! Now for the dress..." The garments were placed into Ronnae's hands as Shantae bolted for the closet. "So what kind of dresses do you have, hm?" she asked.

Taking the undergarments Ronnae blinked a little, her face turning a darker tone as she looked at the items. She slid on the lace panties but looked between Shantae and the strapless bra. "I... am p-pretty sure these won't stay on..." All things considered she was very much top heavy and she knew it. Maybe she could engineer something to keep them up.

At the question however she blinked, "I... don't really think I have any, at least none here..." Not any that she could remember anyways unless maybe one of the few they bought at the previous city before the portal dragged them made their way through with her.

"Oh they will, I'll make sure of that!" Shantae said, poking her head out of the closet. "I've seen people who while not quite your size manage to keep on strapless things just fine! Besides, I helped you pick that one out myself before we came here, remember?" she asked with a smile. "Need any help getting it on?"

"I well, I generally always mechanic them into being in place but if you know of any other way that'd be appreciated... Any help is always welcomed." She fussed a bit over it before relinquishing it to Shantae.

"Sure thing," Shantae said, stepping out of the closet, taking the bra from Ronnae. She paused for just a moment, before chuckling a bit. "Sorry, but you know, no matter how many times I see them, I just can't get over how BIG you are," she commented, flashing Ronnae a smile before getting behind her. "We just need to give you a little bit of support," she said, lifting Ronnae's arms and reaching around her to slide the bra up to cup her chest, clipping it in the back. She ran her fingers under the fabric to make sure it was straight, and nodded in approval. By the time she was done, it was a tight fit, but it just barely managed to cover what it was supposed to cover. "There! Now don't move, I'll be right back," she said, turning and hurrying out of the room.

A few minutes later, Shantae returned to the room, and with a flourish, she presented... a blue evening gown. "And now you DO have a dress," she said with a smile. "And before you ask, it's your size. And it's for you. Consider it a late Christmas present!"

As Shantae commented and came over to help her with the item, Ronnae's skin became warmer as her faced continued to get darker as her blushing intensified. She remained silent however and allowed Shantae to help her up and into said bra. "Y-yeah I... I'd like to say it's due to mother but... I ended up having l-larger ones than her..." Which was silly if she thought about it if it was her mom sporting these. She always saw her as such an amazing and agile fighter. Not that she herself wasn't but she had already trained to work with her own body... And now her thoughts were trailing off.

But just in time Shantae came back with the dress and Ronnae was all but speechless. "T-that's... That's beautiful are... are you sure?" It wasn't really Ronnae's style sicne she usually opted to hide as much of herself as posible, but she couldn't deny that it was a pretty amazing looking dress.

As Ronnae looked at the dress, Shantae beamed. "Absolutely! I've wanted to give this to you for a while now, but then the whole crisis happened... I actually found it recently! I bought it back before we all ended up here, and found this made it here too! So... I want you to have it. One best friend to another!" she said, holding out the dress for Ronnae to take.

"I... I d-don't know what to say..." She reached out and grabbed it gingerly.

"T-thank you Shantae, this means a lot to me..."

"Then it was all worth it," Shantae said with a beaming smile. "Now c'mon, let's get you into that before you spring out of that bra!" she joked with a laugh, getting behind her to help her get the dress on.

Ronnae laughed a bit alongside her but her face reddened a bit. "Are you sure I won't spring out of my dress while at the festivities? B-because I'm pretty sure I'd die of embarrassment..." Really, she would!

"Relax, it was a joke!" Shantae replied, taking the dress to help her step into it. "You'll be just fine! And you'll look amazing to boot!"

"O-oh right, I... yeah I hope so." She smiled sheepishly considering that her track record in 'you'll be fine' wasn't the best to really count on.

However even so, she fit the dress with Shantae's help and gave a small twirl. "Well... How... How do I look?"

Shantae nodded with a bright smile, taking hold of her shoulders and turning her towards the mirror. "You look incredible," Shantae said happily. "You're gonna knock 'em dead when we get back to the party!"

"Can they just be knocked away and let me just meld in the back instead of being dead?" she half-joked, half-wished.

Nonetheless, she did smile a little and turned back around to hug Shantae... And then kiss her because that was a natural reaction you know? Pressed, soft kiss and then she quickly backed away looking a bit stunned at herself.

"S-sorry, sorry! Don't know... I... I got caught up in the moments. I'm really sorry..."

Shantae's eyes widened at the kiss. She was quiet when it finally parted, and she stared mouth agape for a few moments. "...No... No, it's okay," she said when she finally got her senses back. "I just... Heh! Well, you really wanna know, I thought for sure you'd end up kissing Gordon before you kissed me," she said, trying to lighten the mood, and smiling again. "It was nice."

Ronnae's face was a flurry of emotions, but most visible was embarrassment. "Really? I mean... The thought did cross my mind a few times but... Honestly it always felt more like he saw me as a comrade, a partner in the lab maybe sometimes a friend? But never more than that I mean, other than well, the fancy most people would tend to have. So I guess I never really gave it much thought other then the passing image of it." And she sometimes felt like she felt herself trying to show that she was adept at what she did for some reason.

After her little rant however she realized that Shantae had said it was nice and that put her heart a bit more at ease... At least she didn't ruin the friendship she hoped. Looking away for a bit, she stayed silent for a while.

Shantae could see Ronnae was bothered by what she had done. She didn't particularly MIND, but really, this was something she wanted to discuss with Gordon before acting on anything. But one thing was for sure, Shantae had to put her friend at ease.

She did that by throwing her arms around her from behind. "Hey, it's okay," she said reassuringly. "I've just gotta talk to Gordon. You know, before I do anything else about it?"

Before I do anything else about it? What WAS there to do she wondered. Nothing in her mind, it was an in the moment kind of thing and now that it had happened Ronnae only feared the worse. But it'd be even sadder if she held up her friend because of her dumb mistake and they both missed the festivities.

"I... It's okay, I feel we should probably head back. You... go on ahead, I need to pass by the stage to make sure the final preparations are set. It's almost time." She gave a small smile of reassurance hoping she'd believe that she was at the very least okay for the moment which technically she was.

Oh if only you knew, Ronnae... Sufficed to say if Shantae had approval, she really WOULD be exploding out of that dress. But until then.

"All right, I'll go on ahead. But don't be gone too long! Don't wanna miss anything," Shantae told her, smiling. To prove there was nothing wrong with her feelings on the matter, she tugged Ronnae in and gave her another quick kiss. "See you soon!" she added as she hurried off.
