Rene hung the last of the party decorations over the door and quickly put the ladder away. The tables were set with various edibles, the curtains were crisp and ironed, the paper decorations were festive and cute, and the year was about to change.

2017 though? What a strange number. She wondered what their calendar was based on. No matter, a celebration was always a good time.

"Tauren, que es eso?" she asked curiously. "Can't say that I know who they are, solo pense that you were a Tauros or something similar." She chuckled.

At his comment she laughed and shook her head, "Pero si I'm not going anywhere mijo, just keeping things full and tidy para todos. Everyone will be well fed tonight." And every night if you let her.

"Ah, I suppose you aren't familiar with us then. That's understandable," he replied with a smile. "I'm one of many races of the land of Azeroth. My people have a strong connection to the land and nature. I, myself, am a druid."

He smiled again. "Then perhaps you would do me the honor of a dance?" he asked. "I'm a bit rusty, but I'm willing to try again."

"Azeroth huh," she looked up in thought. "If I remember right there were a few from there back in the Academy... Bueno but I mean, back before we all ended up here. I actually think there's still one or two that got dragged here too?" she shrugged, maybe she should take a census or suggest it to one of the dorm leaders.

"Ser uno con nature is a good thing but I'm not familiar with druid other than what some of the fantasy novelas has shown." Which might not be the same so she doesn't want to assume.

At his proposal however, she dropped her cleaning rag and smiled big. "Now that's what I'm talking about muchacho, let's groove." She laughed and moved over from behind the food stand.

"I've met one other," Ujarak said in response with a nod and a smile, reaching out to take her hand. "My thoughts exactly," he added, leading her out to the dance floor and placing one hand on her hip and the other holding her hand as they started to move to the music.

Mawrow let him lead as was customary in novelas because hey that's what real life was like right? Maybe in Mawrow's perfect world She followed his lead to the beat not ever missing a step and all the while she smiled up at the tall Tauren. "You dance well, no two left hoofs joke in your kind?" she chuckled.

To be fair, somewhere out there is probably a novela about being seduced by a minotaur. Probably written by Chuck Tingle. "There are," he said with a chuckle, lifting a hand to twirl her once before holding her again. "But I've had plenty of time to gain some experience. It's been some time since I've been dancing. I'm glad I haven't lost my touch."

"Oooo oh my," Mawrow chuckled as she got twirled around and held again, smiling broadly.

"Whatever touch you thought you might have lost, tu todavia lo tienes~" she hummed happily continuing to follow his lead as they danced.

Ujarak smiled warmly, leaning in a little closer, pressing against her securely as they danced, holding an arm around her waist. "That's very reassuring," he said. "You're very kind to this old druid..."

"Jus' an honest lady by nature," she mused happily as she enjoying feeling his powerful body against hers.

"Honest and lovely... A wonderful combination," he said with a smile, sliding his other arm around her as well, letting her enjoy the moment held against his warm muscular frame. "Whatever else the evening may bring, I already feel fulfilled sharing your company."

"Are you trying to woo me here Mr Uja?" she responded coyly and yet unable to push back her laughter. She does however step on her tip toes and still fails to reach all the way to him which makes her laugh some more before she lowers her voice some. "I am thinking it's working, un poquito at least." she chuckles.

He lowered his head closer to her to help close some of the distance between them, smiling warmly. "I think I just might be, Miss Mawrow... I hope that's not a problem," he replied quietly. "I can't seem to help myself here."

That did bring a very slight blush to the dark skinned marowak which was surprising for one of her experience and general attitude. "Not a problem at all Señor Uja," she voiced back in hushed tones. "You've been a darling, un amor all night to me so far. Esta señora very much appreciates the kindness and attention."

"The pleasure is all mine, Miss Mawrow," he said, lifting a curled finger under her chin to lift her head closer to his. "And the night is still young..." His lips were so close that one of them could easily close the gap for a kiss.

Being influenced a lot by novelas, Mawrow believed in the first move be done by the opposing party as long as the notice of approval was there. Judging by the light smile and closing of eyes, it seemed she was more than ready for a new year's smooch.

Ujarak took that as all the approval he needed to close the remaining distance, moving in to softly kiss her right there on the dance floor. "Mmm..." was all the sound he made as he held her to him and savoured the moment.

Mawrow smiled into the kiss as the music simply seemed to be drowned out by the moment. She remained enwrapped in the kiss for a few moments longer before breaking contact and moving back just slightly to look at him. "Mmm is right papi," she laughed a bit. "Sweet lips for a sweet soul. Me gusta." she stated simply.

Ujarak smiled, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear and stroking her cheek softly with a large finger. "I was just thinking the same thing," he told her. "As I said... The night is still young. And if you were willing, I would be honoured to spend it with you." The suggestion left open a world of possibilities that he didn't elaborate on and left to her imagination to ponder.

"And spend it you shall," she laughed a bit. "Barring alguien que me necesite you know?" Because she'll always be the type to help others before her.

"But until then? Soy toda tuya." she chuckled a bit at her own playful flirting. She was feeling younger than she was at the moment and that was super fun.

He had to admit, he was feeling much younger than his age himself, and it was a wonderful feeling. He dipped in and kissed her again warmly. When their lips parted, he chuckled, giving her a bit of a squeeze tighter against him. "I'm glad to hear that," he said quietly. "Because once this party is over, I intend to steal you away all for myself for the rest of the night," he added huskily and with a knowing look.

"Oh my Señor Uja, you're pretty straight forward huh... Pero no me quejo." she laughed heartily and relaxed against him.

"It'll be a good year. I can feel it." If tonight was any indication.

"Beating around the bush gets you nowhere in life," he explained himself with a smile, holding her against him. "I've learned that if there's something you want from life, you need to make it known, or you'll miss out on so many things..."

He chuckled. "And it's only just begun."

"Yes it has," Mawrow smiled. Soon enough the fireworks would start and she'd have a fine new friend to ring out the year with. If it wasn't apparent, she was pretty happy and enjoying herself tonight.

It was ever apparent to him, and he was happy for it. Taking chances was something he never regretted, and he was glad he took this one. Her warmth made him smile. He held her around her middle as they gently swayed together, and as the moment came close, he said, "Would you like a better view of the show?" he asked, gesturing that he could put her up on his shoulders if she wanted.

"Me leiste la mente," Mawrow smiled up at him. "A better view would be wonderful. Give me a few to make sure the tables are stocked and we can go okay?" After a quick squeeze, Mawrow went and made sure there was plenty of food and drinks for everyone and then some. Just in case the poor dears were extra hungry. Once she was sure of their well being, she walked back to Ujarak.
