"I, uh... I'm sorry, I don't have a translation module for your language," Rock replied. "I could take you back to the mansion, if you need somewhere to stay, though," he tried to be helpful and offer.

Oh. Great.

Shyriiwook wasn't the most widely understood language in the Galaxy. Only Wookiee spoke it and there wasn't a great galactic population of his people or anything. But still. It was a little annoying. His vocal chords and mouth just weren't made for all the weird noises Basic was composed of.

....wait.

'Translation module? For the droid pet?' he growled, pointing to Rush.

He may not have understood the words, but he could at least extrapolate the context. When he saw Chewie point at Rush, he shook his head. "Ah... I should probably say, I'm a robot," he explained.

I never would have guessed!

This was EASILY the most lifelike droid he'd ever encountered! 3PO would be jealous!

The Wookiee immediately started looking at Rock in a new way, peering at the joins between helmet and face and at what he'd assumed was armor.

Rock suddenly felt very... exposed. The way the bear was sizing him up made him feel self conscious, and it showed. "Ah... I can answer any questions you have once we get back to the mansion, okay?" he offered.

Chewie stopped inspecting the little droid and stood up, looking back at the ship.

To the mansion? Like a big house? He frowned.

I should probably stay here. If any of my friends or other members of the resistance were to come looking for me, they'd track me here.

Say whatever you wanted about Han Solo (And a lot of people said a lot of things about Han Solo.) but Chewbacca trusted the cocky little bastard to come looking once he realized the Wookiee's exploratory mission over to the newly abandoned Imperial Base was taking way too long. He was brash and arrogant, but he was also loyal.

"You'd rather stay here...?" Rock asked. At least he could interpret body language pretty well. "If you say so... I can come back and check on you later? I'm sorry I can't really offer any food, we don't have much of anything right now..."

"Grrrrgh. Bwooo...."

It's OK. I ate a while ago.

He reached out and patted the droid on his head. Such a good droid! He was amazed at how lifelike this one was! Something like C-3PO was easy enough to assemble a nine year old could probably do it and an astromech droid was simple enough in basic design. But something that could be THIS humanoid? It went beyond a flexible plastoid outer shell. This one even had humanoid mannerisms, speech.

Well, he'd try and find out more later.

"Well then! I'll, uh... leave you to this? If you need anything, I'll come back and check on you later, okay?" Rock asked, nodding to Rush to shift back into Rush Jet mode to head on back to the academy. He waved to Chewie as he flew off into the sunset.

He waved back at the Droid then decided if he was to stay here, he ought to get settled in for the night. The pilot seat, while not being exactly COMFY, was at least intact. He'd crash there (Geddit.) till Han and the others came to find him.
