SPRING CLEANING [OPEN]

There was no escape in sight. As far as anyone could tell, they were all stuck here on this mysterious floating island for the time being, and they would have to make do with what they could find. You'd think they would be well off in an AWESOME MANSION, except that the mansion is... a little worse for wear. Okay, a LOT worse for wear. The place was a mess.

Flurrie would not stand for it.

A woman of her tastes and sensibilities would be all for living it up in a huge, fancy mansion, but certainly not one in this state. And so, she took some initiative. Early one morning, she found a megaphone and stood outside the front of the mansion, barking orders loudly to the other inhabitants.

"EVERYONE GET OUT HERE, PRONTO!!"

Once everybody was gathered (as gathered as they were able to at this time of day, anyway), she yelled a little less:

"All right, everyone! I think we've been lounging around long enough! This place is an absolute disaster, and I cannot abide it another minute. Today I proclaim that we're going to make this mansion spic and span! And we're not going to stop until it sparkles! Now who's with me~?"

[HERE'S HOW IT WORKS: Step 1: Pick a location. Step 2: CLEAN THAT SHIT. Step 3: Tag around and help clean the mansion YAAAY! OR, you can do none of the above and screw around the entire time! YAAAY?]

[Flurrie woke everyone up for this!?]

[Surprising no one, Flurrie claimed the theater. If she's not busy running over the stage with a push broom (oh my god there's like two inches of dirt up there), she's dusting and polishing each seat individually. Is she singing? Of course she is.]

[Rene is the first one there, with an apron and a basket and somehow a really fresh-faced eager expression despite it being Stupid O'clock. She had been planning to clean anyway, after all]

[Rene quickly set to work cleaning out the kitchen. An army marches on its stomach! Bring paper towels.]

Easy pickings for Ronnae to go and clean up and out the tech dungeon. No only would it be useful and productive, but she's already getting first picks on a lot of the stuff down here! Her mind was going a million steps a second and she was having way more fun than anyone cleaning should really be having.

There wasn't going to be any sort of cheerfulness going around unless they up and set up the kitchen so folks could have nice filling meals! At least, you know, that's what Riwane was thinking when she ventured in with a goal in mind!

Clean it all so she can start having some food cause the energy furnace that was her body was not very happy with the lack of food. Seeing someone already here didn't surprise her, she was SURE that she just couldn't be the only one who was hellishly hungry. So with a chipper and bright smile she waved as she quickly took to cleaning.

"Oy'! Pretty nice day fur cleanin' huh?"

"Yep!" The reply was sunny enough to clean the room on its own, if only that was possible. "Grab a scrub brush and join in!"

She was down on her knees--well, on her knee pads--and scrubbing the floor with a thickly-bristled two-handed brush. Every few scrubs she'd toss some water down from a nearby bucket. "It's covered in some sort of grime. If you know where to find some newspapers and string, we can cover our feet so we don't get even dirtier."

Riwane smirked and went right to righting the walls and ceiling, "Grammie always said that you had to clean from top ta bottom or yer jus' gonna git the floor dirty once ya go up." she mused as she started scrubbing hard and getting cobwebs and debris along with whatever plants had started growing up there.

Every now and then she'd send a burst of flames to clear some things. No better cleanser than fire.

Look. Cleaning is all well and good but there's not much point cleaning if things are busted, is there?

Joel had found some supplies in a disused shed on the Mansion grounds. Hammer, nails, bits of wood. Not the greatest supplies ever but they were what he had.

A lot of the siding boards and cladding was coming loose in the hallways and so he'd wrangled himself together a makeshift tool belt and was fixing it all as best as he could. This is probably going to shake loose a little dust but hey, small price to pay right.

Chewie had only just heard about this part of the mansion. He'd been sleeping in his busted spaceship, but still had a need to fix the thing.

"Hrrrrr." he purred in greeting to the green skinned Humanoid as he entered. (Huh. Those proportions made him think Twilek. But the pointed ears, lack of head tails, green skin and tusks were definitely not customary for that species. More like Gamorrean? Cross bred, maybe? He'd never heard of that before but whatever. It was nowhere near his place to judge.)

There was a lot of stuff down here but.... why did it look so DIFFERENT to the technology he knew??

Ronnae was so involved in her ~~scavenging and procuring~~ cleaning that when the newcomer announced his arrival she jumped a bit in surprised and laughed nervously before smiling. "Oh, hello." She greeted with a quick bow and very much covered in soot, dust, oil and whatever else was down here. It was clear that she'd been down here for a good bit now.

"Didn't think anyone else was going to come here and help out, but thanks!"

"Gruh?"

Help?

Oh. Now that he was paying proper attention, he could see that she was cleaning down here. That wasn't WHY he was here. In fact, he'd noticed some other people cleaning on his way down... but really hadn't paid them much mind.

If Han were here, he'd say 'Look, lady. Just because you're cute, doesn't mean I'm going to clean house with you!'

....but Han wasn't here, and Chewie was far more inclined to be helpful than his little Human pal.

"Grr-hrr." he said with a shrug, walking over and picking up a dust rag.

It's alright Chewie, you don't have to help but it was appreciated.

"Careful though, this place has a lot of varied debris." And she knew just how annoying it was to clean up all that stuff from all the fur. She had Tauren in her family and friends so yeah!

She went back to going through the rubble and disaster that was down here always setting aside things for her, for the house and tossing any unuseables into a bag... Which was very little considering she can make use of just about everything.

Everynow and then she would look back at them curiously. Looked like a Worgen but... Worgen could talk and had longer snouts. Maybe a different kind? A halfbreed even?! That'd be exciting for her.

It's fine. He'd found the lake.

Chewie just busied himself with dusting the stuff in the boxes.

It was... weird technology. Some of it had a basic structure he recognized. (Screen. Keys. Power cables, though, different ports than he was used to.) But the bits and pieces were unfamiliar.

As he dusted, he sorted, grouping components into roughly similar groups so that he could better understand them once he was done cleaning.

He caught her looking at him every so often, and so he looked back. It wasn't really a Wookiee's way to be shy. Eventually he just waved and gave the girl a smile. Maybe his kind weren't common around here? He'd certainly never encountered a Humanoid like her before, either. There was nothing odd or wrong with being interested. His entire Galaxy thrived on cultural exchange, after all.

Him turning to look back at her and smile with the added wave made her blush since she felt silly for having stared curiously back. She smiled a bit sheepishly before turning back to the work at hand.

After a few more minutes of silent trudging and cleaning and cataloguing, Ronnae stood up and wiped her brow with the back of her hand and smiled. "Lots of really neat stuff. This will help the house a lot for sure." As well as her own ventures with the tech.

Looking over, she grabbed a clear bottle from one of her belt pouches and offered it to the newcomer. "I'm Ronnae, Ronnae 'Mash Belore Ryllos. Can't say I've seen you before, but thanks. And nice to meet you." She added before grabbing a bottle of water for herself as well.

During one of the times when Joel was taking a break, a tall and well built man came up to him with a lax greeting. "So, don't take this the wrong way but you're the first normal looking person I've met here and I just need to know. Am I dead and this is some sort of odd limbo, or am I really seeing... well all of them?" he said as he pointed to passing folk from the Academy.

"Grrrgggggh. Hbbbrrrrroooooo...."

The House? I guess. I'm hoping it will help me fix my ship.

He just kept dusting and sorting. His hands were large, but surprisingly nimble fingered, and it didn't take him long to get these bits and pieces looking shiny, if not new. He had an obviously discerning eye when it came to cleaning electronics.

When she offered him the water, he was a little surprised, but he took it.

"Grrb. Wooorrrr, groooo. Hrrrrrrugh. Brrrooo, oooo."

Nice to meet you, too. I'm Chewbacca. I'm going to feel really dumb if you can't understand me either.

Because so far, no-one could.

Here was someone Joel didn't know. As always, he felt the need to be a little guarded.... but this guy's dilemma was something he'd very definitely been through himself.

"Nope. You ain't dead. Leastways, if you are, so am I and I have been for the better part've two years." he replied, slapping his hands together to free them of sawdust and regular dust.

"You get used to 'em. Most of 'em are kids like any other, even if they're actually dogs that can breathe fire or porcupines that can run at the speed of sound. Or robots."

"Most of the time. But when the floor is this dirty, it's best to tackle it first or else you can't leave the room without changing your shoes. And I don't think either of us wants to take our shoes off with the hallway the way it is."

But then WOAH FIRE

"Hey! Did you bring a flamethrower in here? That can't be safe!"

"Naw, you'll jus' make it dirtier when you go back up, but I don' mind cleanin' it more after I'm done up here if I git your side dirty." she stuck her tongue out and laughed before continuing.

At her question she chuckled and shook her head. "No silly, I breath fire." As if she was supposed to know that gosh!

Ronnae raised an eyebrow and offered an apologetic look before rubbing the back of her head. "You have a very interesting language... wish I could tell for sure what you're saying..." But that was never an issue for the techie, and she looked excited again. "I bet I can build another universal translator like I did back home!"

Billy dropped his arms and sighed before running a hand through his hair a bit annoyed. "Well fuck me, it's like a bad game or anime all of a sudden." He wasn't big into them, but he was known to casually watch one or play one in his liesure time when he didn't feel like hitting the bar or the other more common fun places for him.

"Well, at least that sounds more pleasant than zombies and B.O.W.'s." Cause he definitely didn't want to face those again unless he had to. Now that he knew that at least he wasn't dead, he stretched a hand out to Joel and nodded. "Billy Coen." He'd leave the military bit out, it didn't have any place in this... whatever the hell this was.

[Cleaning shit was what robot minions were for. But seeing as he was short a few hundred robots here, Eggman had little choice but to get his hands dirty. The only people he would do such a thing for were his wife and daughter.

So. There he was.

Sonny had never been afraid of hard work! He was more than ready to roll up his sleeves and pitch in. And what area was most essential after a hard day's work?

The Bath!

Because there were bound to be a bunch of people who were dusty, dirty, sore and tired after a day spent making the Mansion livable, Sonny decided he should inspect the bathing area and see what could be done about getting it functional for everyone to use later.

He found a half empty bottle of bleach, a bucket and some brushes and rags by rummaging around in the various closets and cupboards. Hopefully, he'd be up to the task!

"Breathe fire? How did you learn that?" And of course Rene was thinking of circus firebreathers.
