SPRING CLEANING [OPEN]

There was no escape in sight. As far as anyone could tell, they were all stuck here on this mysterious floating island for the time being, and they would have to make do with what they could find. You'd think they would be well off in an AWESOME MANSION, except that the mansion is... a little worse for wear. Okay, a LOT worse for wear. The place was a mess.

Flurrie would not stand for it.

A woman of her tastes and sensibilities would be all for living it up in a huge, fancy mansion, but certainly not one in this state. And so, she took some initiative. Early one morning, she found a megaphone and stood outside the front of the mansion, barking orders loudly to the other inhabitants.

"EVERYONE GET OUT HERE, PRONTO!!"

Once everybody was gathered (as gathered as they were able to at this time of day, anyway), she yelled a little less:

"All right, everyone! I think we've been lounging around long enough! This place is an absolute disaster, and I cannot abide it another minute. Today I proclaim that we're going to make this mansion spic and span! And we're not going to stop until it sparkles! Now who's with me~?"

[HERE'S HOW IT WORKS: Step 1: Pick a location. Step 2: CLEAN THAT SHIT. Step 3: Tag around and help clean the mansion YAAAY! OR, you can do none of the above and screw around the entire time! YAAAY?]

Riwane smirked and went right to righting the walls and ceiling, "Grammie always said that you had to clean from top ta bottom or yer jus' gonna git the floor dirty once ya go up." she mused as she started scrubbing hard and getting cobwebs and debris along with whatever plants had started growing up there.

Every now and then she'd send a burst of flames to clear some things. No better cleanser than fire.

"Most of the time. But when the floor is this dirty, it's best to tackle it first or else you can't leave the room without changing your shoes. And I don't think either of us wants to take our shoes off with the hallway the way it is."

But then WOAH FIRE

"Hey! Did you bring a flamethrower in here? That can't be safe!"

"Naw, you'll jus' make it dirtier when you go back up, but I don' mind cleanin' it more after I'm done up here if I git your side dirty." she stuck her tongue out and laughed before continuing.

At her question she chuckled and shook her head. "No silly, I breath fire." As if she was supposed to know that gosh!

"Breathe fire? How did you learn that?" And of course Rene was thinking of circus firebreathers.

"Been able to do it ever since I wus born," she chuckled as if Rene should have known this. "I'm a Charizard, well, back when I wus a lil' firetail I wus a Charmander, but I evolved later on and now I'm me."

Simple right? Not really Riwane...

"Uh..." Rene stopped scrubbing for a moment. "I'm going to be honest with you--I don't know what a Charizard is."

"Huh?" Well what do you know... "Oh shoot! I thought, well, since all's I've seen are people who came from tha Academy I thought you were from there too. Guess I shoulda followed ma gut when I thought ya didn't look familiar an' I know jus' 'bout everyone back in tha Academy." SHe laughed a bit and shook her head.

"A Charizard's a kinda Pokemon, which by you not knowin' whut I am, prolly means that ain't ringin' a bell to ya so instead a' splaining. I'll jus' show ya whut a Charizard is." And lo and behold, Dargons.

Here be dargons.

HOLY COW WHAT IN THE WORLD

Sonny had told her about pokemon, but this was something out of the blue. She backed up a few feet, reaching the wall. No Rene, calm down, she muttered. This was just the person she'd been talking to already.

Still though. Dragon.

"That's amazing..." It was heavy, breathy, as if she was catching the words as they flew by.

And just like that the dragon was gone and the girl was back in place.

"Hehe, I know I am, but real kind 'a ya ta say so." she winked and chuckled a bit.

"But yeah, there's a buncha us Pokemon who ended up here too." She stated matter'o factly as she went back to cleaning the ceiling.

"Name's Riwane by the way, nice ta meet'cha."

"N...nice to meet you too..." After a moment, Rene picked up the brush again, dipping it in the nearby bucket. What was this stuff, oil?

"Oh! I'm Rene. Uh...is there anything you want to know about my world?"

"Huh? Oh ah, well I've never really been the curious sort. But it ain't like we got a radio here or nuffin. I prolly shoulda brought one in," she laughs and shakes her head.

"Go for it, how'd ya git here anyways?" She asked idly while cleaning really fast, really well. Seems like she enjoyed it.

"Well, I just sort of walked here. I mean, I took a plane the first part of it..." She paused. "You know what planes are, right? I guess I can't assume anything."

Riwane paused and had to chuckled, "Of course I do, but that seems weird. So you took a plane but then had to walk? Where did your plane land?" Because now she was curious. Maybe there was a city or airport nearby she wasn't aware of?

Rene thought about it for a second. "You know, I don't remember. It had a weird name. Destination something." She scrubbed a bit of an unrecognizable substance off the wall. "I think we need some hot water. Would you be able to heat some water if I brought some in?"

"Huh, so maybe you got caught in all of this when ya visited... By chance was it called Final Destination City?" Because if it was, she felt bad for the gal... It was there where it all happened.

At the more simple question she simply nodded. "Sure can."

"Yeah, that was it! Quiet for a big city..." Oh well. "Lemme go get some water."

She picked up a mostly clean pot and jogged outside with it. A few minutes later she came back, the pot filled with water. "All right, I'll put this on the stove."

Fortunately it was an older style stove that had to be lit. Rene twisted in place after setting the pot down.

Once the water is set, the girl smirked and motioned to Rene. "Alrite then, move back hon, it's 'bout to git hot real quick!"

And as soon as Rene was out of harms way, Riwane let loose a blazin Ember. Normally a rather weak move but enough to set that water to boil in a few seconds, especially with her increased power in that particular set of abilities.

What th--

"That's amazing!" Rene exclaimed. "How did you do that? It usually takes around half an hour to get this much water boiling without a lid!

Riwane grinned and gave her a thumbs up. "I'm a natural of course~" she winked and chuckled. "And I specialized on the power of my fire so it's even more advanced than normal."

"Amazing!" Rene repeated. "I wish I could do that. Well, let's get rid of that slime!"

"You got it!" Riwane agreed and proceeded to dance to the tune of needing food asap so she cleaned with fervor.

"Man, can't wait to git sum grub up an' cookin' in this place! I could use sumthin' ta quell my furnace." She laughed.

Though at this rate the kitchen would be clean in no time.

"We should probably bring in more than one vat of water at a time if we can boil it that fast." Rene picked up a cup and dipped it in the hot water. "What we do now is try to boil this stuff off. Only one of us should do this at a time or else we could risk being burned."

She got close to the slime on the walls and poured the cup over part of the edge. The slime started sliding off.

"I can do that, I dun' run that risk hon." she said with a smile and to prove it she put her hand in the vat of boiling water and grinned. "Fire an' heat's my thing!" So she grabbed some more of that hot water and started scrubbing down.

Oh wow, oh wow...

"I feel like I've said 'that's amazing' so many times, but I keep wanting to say it again! You're so powerful!"

Although she couldn't keep staring. She took the dustpan and scooped some of the slime into it to discard in the wastebin.

There, now she could stare again.
