The box of Jock's socks had its lone member rejoin the flock as Green dropped it.

"Uh, outside?" said Jock, shrugging. "I mean, I can tell you what it smelled like. There's a real big clock smell about half a mile away from here. It's where the clock box was. And I haven't found any bones. Why, are you missing some bones? Do you need some help finding bones? I like bones."

Jock looks very eager to try to help Green with his bone problem.
