Okay. Okay, her latest invention probably had a few kinks to work out. Building an interdimensional portal was turning out to be a bit more art than science, but what kind of experiments didn't have a few minor setbacks here and there? Like, you know... getting stuck on the other side of a portal she opened in space and time. On the plus side, it worked! On the negative side, the portal closed before she could get back to her workshop. Great. Just great. 

A short, curvy goblin girl with wild strawberry blonde hair stood in the middle of the machine shop in the mansion. Nobody else was up at this hour of the night, which was perfect for her to get to work without interruptions. She unshouldered a bazooka on a strap, lowered a pair of goggles into place, and set to work, rummaging through the materials she could find, trying to pick out anything that could be used in her new invention. She needed to build a way to get back to Azeroth! There was money to be made! Unfortunately, despite her desire for privacy, she wasn't exactly quiet or gentle about what she was doing, tossing parts around and making quite a lot of noise, both of machinery and of cursing.

Ronnae's blush was going nowhere at this rate and from the looks of things the goblin gal wasn't going to quit so she just accepted it. "Right... t-that's not something I haven't heard before." She sighed and shook her head. "As long as you're comfortable and hopefully adjusting to what just happened, then at... at least I know I've been doing alright." Because at least she knew Azerothian's came mostly with tough skin, she knows Ryzey would roll with the blows and adjust. We all have had to many times.

She shrugged. "I've seen weirder," she said. "Besides, ingenuity's gonna win the day. It always does! Every problem has a solution."

[shiest_sunbeam]

"It's been trying..." Ingenuity, that they had in bounds with the astute denizens of this place. It wasn't lacking and still.... and still they remained stuck in this place.

"Hopefully a new set of hands will help out."

[goldfuse]

"Then luckily for you, you've got the best set of hands on Azeroth. And I know my way around machines too," she grinned, unable to resist getting in another flirty remark at Ronnae's expense.

Right over her head Ryzey, at least for the time being. Ronnae beamed happily, "I'm sure the rest will love hearing that. Having more people who can help us try to get back to our respective homes will be a great thing." With that though, she did pour some coffee for her as well as split the snack platter for them both before sitting across from Ryzey.

"I guess anothers misfortune is someone elses boon... Sorry you ended up here but I'm glad to have another engineer around." Especially from home...

"Careful when it's my misfortune you're talking about," she pointed out, taking a mug of coffee for herself and taking a hearty swig. "Aaah... I needed THAT."

"So... What've you tried so far?" she asked. "One engineer to another, I wanna get up to speed ASAP."

[shiest_sunbeam]

"Right, sorry sorry... I didn't mean it that way I just... Any blips on the radar from home are like... small miracles I guess..." Bad wording and bad moment, better step away from this and focus.

"As far as where we're at and what we've done." she goes through some files in a cabinet and pulls out a large folder.

"You can go through the failed attempts, none have even come close to getting us out of here though some have proven useful and been turned into other devices to improve quality of life around." Better water system, irrigation, basic automation etc.

"Hey, nothing personal," Ryzey chuckled. She took another swig of coffee, flipping the folder open and starting to examine the information therein. "Yeah, yeah, I can see that," she commented. "You're also limited by what resources you've got available here. I don't suppose you've got access to magitek around here," she suggested. "As much as I love traditional tech, any device that's capable of generating a portal like that is going to need a power core that gives off a nice big jolt of extra-dimensional energies that can be focused. So unless we can find something like that here, we're stuck at square one."

"We have access to some magitek," she started as she crossed her legs and relaxed a bit more in her chair. "I've made a few of my devices using what I've found but like you said, we're limited to what we have around here. Though, sometimes being able to get help from magic users to harness that power and use it in our devices is a boon." Though it wasn't something she liked doing often.

"You've got magic users around here?" Ryzey asked, resting her chin on her hand. "That'll be a big help. What kind of magic users are we talking about here?"

[shiest_sunbeam]

"All kinds really, I'd like to say that they also follow some of the megical methods and mechanics of Azeroth and other planes we've explored but that'd be putting it lightly since there's odd variations and even further things in some cases." And that was an understatement. There was immense power talent in this location for sure.

[goldfuse]

"Oh yeah?" she asked again, leaning closer and practically lifting herself out of her seat to get closer to Ronnae. "Tell me. What can they do, hm?" she asked curiously.

[shiest_sunbeam]

The closeness made Ronnae's face turn a shade darker and she stumbled a bit back on her chair. "O-oh uh, well you know l-lots. Like there's even some that can shapeshift and use elemental powers kind of like dragons but not? Though some do seem to be dragons too..."

Well too bad, Ryzey was just pushing closer. She was really curious now, and without realizing it she'd climbed up onto the table.

"Dragons! Shapeshifters! You stumbled on a goldmine of magic users!" she declared.

[shiest_sunbeam]

"W-wait w-whaaaaa!" and plomp, there was now a Ronnae on the floor having fallen off her chair as she tried to put a bit of distance from the continued closeness.

Looking up from her prone position and clearly embarrassed, Ronnae cleared her throat nervously. "Y-yes, the place is pretty impressive to say the least..."

Perhaps Ryzey was a little TOO enthusiastic. She'd made it close enough to Ronnae that when she went for a tumble, she ended up following her right off the edge of the table, landing on her. "Whoa whoa WHOA!" she called out as she fellright on top of Ronnae. Perhaps it was fate. Perhaps it was good timing. But the end result was two green girls, lying on the floor, ample chests squished against each other.

"...Whoops," Ryzey said simply. She didn't intend for that to happen. But it wasn't half bad, admittedly.

Ronnae hadn't seen it coming but instinct made for her to reach out to Ryzey in order to try and help her from hurting herself from the fall but all it did was get her in position for the impromptu hug/chest bump. Ronnae looked down at them both and in all honesty there was more concern than anything else, not minding the closeness for the moment.

"Hey are you okay?"

[goldfuse]

"Heh... I'm okay. You took the brunt of it," she commented, trying to regain her composure as quickly as she could. "I've had way worse landings than this! Could call it a happy accident, actually... This isn't half bad."

[shiest_sunbeam]

"Well I mean as long as you're okay..." Sometimes the worse damage could come from the stupidest things, she'd seen people in her platoon injure themselves worse from an unfortunate trip or stumble than from actual combat...

"Just let me know when you're okay enough to get up, we can stay here till you're ready." Still being the worrier here, she didn't mind the closeness at the moment. It honestly really was, well, nice.

"Mmm. I don't think I wanna move any time soon," Ryzey commented with a smirk. "You're really soft, you know!" she teased with a wink.

[shiest_sunbeam]

"O-oh, yeah I... I guess..." Not the first time she's heard that for sure.

"As long as you're comfortable, I'm pretty okay myself."

[goldfuse]

"You know, we could get a lot more comfy than this," she smirked.

[shiest_sunbeam]

"Oh yeah this probably isn't very comfortable and you're probably tired... Hmmm," Ronnae looked up in thought. "I don't know if we have any rooms that would have opened up due to your arrival since it won't show on the map till the next report....-" She paused and looked back at her apologetically. "Long story about why we're here... I'll explain later." she sighed and looked thoughtful again.

"In the meantime you could always bunk with me till we find you a room."

Ryzey chuckled. She could be so innocent some times... "Inviting me to bed with you? Normally I charge top coin for that~ But for you I could make an exception~"

"What???" Oh! Now her face reddened considerably. "T-that's not what I was s-saying I w-was just extending a-a-an offer for comfort!" She was clearly embarrassed but with nowhere to run she was kind of stuck under Ryzey.
