Blaze wasn't exactly one for scrounging, but given the state of subsistence they'd all been reduced to since coming to the mansion, she'd had to learn to make do. And one such circumstance sent her looking for towels, tarps, anything she could find to keep things dry. With the rainy season starting and seemingly never wanting to end, things were getting very damp very quickly.

Finding a storage room, Blaze rummaged through boxes, trying to find anything to fight back the encroaching moisture. But what else would she find on her search, I wonder?

Sonic blinks, follows their gaze down. He then demonstrates that he still has some of his superspeed as a human by disappearing into the same bedroom he'd emerged from in a blur of blue hair and mortification.

"GAH ohmanohmanohman... Look okay, I can't help it!" His voice carries through the door. "It's just that, you know, you guys wear human really well. And I've kind of, uh... always been..."

He just sort of trails off.

Marine wanted absolutely nothing to do with how south the conversation had gone. It wasn't just gross, it was AWKWARD. Sonic was like an older brother to her, and the thought of adult-time between her and onee-sama Blaze was too much.

"GUUAAAAHHH, sod this!! Blazey, come get me when you all 'ave squared things away!" she declared as she ran toward the exit, hand covering her eyes. She almost made it without slamming into anything, but she still wound up checking the door frame a bit. A little stunned, she hobbled out the door while rubbing her shoulder with her spare hand.

The disaster train had not yet finished leaving the station. All aboard!

As soon as she turned the corner, she ran right into an orange fox with two bushy tails. "Oof!" He said as they collided. "I'm sorry, I must not have been looking where I was going... I thought I heard someone I knew."

He'd been there for all of a week. The last thing he expected was species swapping, on top of falling out of his own dimension and into... Whatever THIS was.

"What the heck kind of racket is going on here?" Knuckles asked, following behind Tails. The two had been exploring together, looking for their friends. He's been trying to stick close to the rest of his team, not to mention Rouge, Blaze, and Marine. They'd gone missing, and having found them again, he wasn't about to let them out of his sight.

Seeing Tails distracted by the girl he'd just run into, he poked his head into the room she had just emerged from. "Oh, hey there," he said to the unfamiliar bunch.

"Always been what--" Blaze tried to ask, before Marine's outburst caused that thought to trail off. "Wait, we should stick together--"

And then, Tails and Knuckles had arrived. While familiar faces were very welcome, they just unfortunately added to the shame Congo line that had started to form here. "Ah... Your timing could have been better," she said.

Wave just smirked at Blaze's comment. "I dunno about that, this could have potential..." She eyed Tails and Knuckles mischievously.

By that time, Sonic had mostly gotten over his preoccupations long enough to realize that things had gone weirdly silent on the other side.

"H-hey guys?" He opens the door and realizes who else has come in.

"Knuckles?" And was that... "Tails?" down the hall.

...Uh oh.

"Listen guys, we're not quite ourselves right now. You might wanna..."
