[open] And the curtain rises
Who: Everyone, new and old.
What: Welcome to the new home.
Where: The Mansion and surrounding courtyard area.
When: January 15th
Warnings: Probably some swearing.
Despite the efforts, the world still shook. The sky went red. The inevitable was truly inevitable. Or... Was it?
No matter where you were, it was the same: The flash that seered the back of your vision, the crumbling of the earth beneath feet as it opened to swallow all that resided on it, the scream of an astral body that was breathing its last. And then there was darkness. Heat, and then icy cold.
The darkness stretched into forever. If one didn't know any better, they'd think they died.
Maybe they did.
Yet it was not the end. The dark faded. Life was still steady in their veins despite it all, and with a lurch and a rush of air in the lungs, our wayward Smash Academy residents would find themselves in a distinctly different place than they would have expected. A bedroom, a garden, an unknown rooftop. Wherever they were, they were alive and they were whole.
And, quite possibly they were not alone.
Where they were, however, was unclear. If they were lucky (?) enough to be outside, everything smelled new. Crisp air, fresh soil, a smattering of scents they've never encountered. Those that awoke inside somewhere were the majority, and while it was a new place to be, it was most certainly not new. Dust, mildew, the creak and groan of wood long since untouched, and the shadows of a place only lit by daylight.
What a dump.

"JUST A FEW THINGS I HAD IN MY INVENTORY! NOW THEN, TO BEGIN WITH THE SAUCE! And he started...punching the vegetables in a bowl.

"NOW, GET READY TO HAVE YOUR TASTEBUDS TANTILIZED!"

"All right! Let's dig in and see how this..."
And then he tasted the spaghetti.
He chewed.
He tried not to let his face change expression. What was he tasting...

"I CAN TELL YOU MUST REALLY LIKE IT!"

Jolt swallowed. Why did he swallow.

"I'M SO GLAD YOU LIKE IT!"

Jolt started to lead the way as they left the kitchen, and the spaghetti nightmare, behind. "Thing is, there's no guarantee your brother ended up here too," he said. "I haven't seen anyone I know since the moon landed... For all I know, I may be the only one who survived. But I'm holding out hope, you know?"

Their travels took them to what looked like a living room of sorts. Sort of a dorm common area, with couches, tables, and a layer of dust so thick it made everything look like it was a dull gray colour. It tickled Jolt's nose just walking in here. "Geez... What a mess."

"HMM! ONCE WE LOCATE OUR BROTHERS, SOME SERIOUS CLEANING NEEDS TO HAPPEN!"
