An oddly catchy tune is heard faintly in the air [Open]

On a silent yet windy night, an odd tune can be faintly heard being carried by the winds. Familiar to some, this tune seems oddly melancholic and seemingly coming from outside the main Mansion grounds. Oddly enough it seems to stop for after a while and never heard again.... Until the next night. Where exactly is it coming from? Care to explore and find out?

Blues was atop a tall tree looking over to the distant building. It had been the only one he had noticed on this floating island since his arrival. Sure he had spotted others on far away islands, but as far as he'd seen, this one only housed the particularly large Mansion. This was where he had last felt Rock's presence and was determined to make sure his sibling was okay. "What did you get yourself into this time Rock..."

Rock knew that sound. He'd heard it many times before, and it meant only one thing. Rock went searching for the source of the whistling as soon as he became aware of it, but the first night he failed to find him. Roll was here... Did that mean...?

"Blues...?" he called out hesitantly, as he tried to track the source of the whistling.

His sensors picked up on Rock as soon as he came looking the second night and he couldn't help but smirk a little at knowing his data was correct and that he had ended up wherever this was. After a beat, Blues jumped from his tall tree and landed close to his brother, standing straight to look at him.

"Seems like you ended up getting whisked away again little bro."

[megabuster]

Whatever reaction he was expecting from Rock, it probably wasn't what he actually got.

"...Blues!!" Rock exclaimed with a big smile, running up to him and hugging him tightly, as if he hadn't seen him for months. Which, as far as he was concerned, was true. "What are you doing here?!"

[ineedabreakman]

"Whoa whoa!" Blues flinched and was going to push away but all things considered? There you go Rock, a nice brotherly head pat and hair ruffle.

"I was tracking you down. You kind of disappeared from the last place without a trace and I couldn't even pinpoint that at all. Took me a long while to finally find, well, whatever this place is." He nodded to the general direction of the mansion.

YEAH WELL TOO BAD BRO. You're getting a hug whether you like it or not.

When he finally let go, he looked quizzically at Blues. "Well yeah, but... How did you even figure out where 'here' is? Nobody's been able to get out, or send any messages outside..."

[ineedabreakman]

"I got my resources." he said plainly, looking distant for a moment. "No promises of getting back though, but I already knew that. Which is why I figured, hey, might as well help you find your way back out of whatever this is."

[megabuster]

"I see..." Blues followed him here... But what if Dr. Wily attacked while they were all gone? With him, Blues, and now Roll here...

"Is Dr. Light okay?" he asked hopefully. "And everyone else? Are they safe? Auto, Dr. Cossack, Kalinka..."

[ineedabreakman]

Blues paused, a scoff escaping his lips before he looked away and giving a shrug. "They're alright." And considering how Rock usually thought... "And don't worry, they'll be alright, things have been quiet for a while now."

[megabuster]

"That's good," he said with a nod. "It's just been... so long since I saw any of them... Roll just showed up, but I haven't heard from you all in months. I was getting worried..."

[ineedabreakman]

Blues looked pensive but quickly looked over when he mentioned Roll. "Roll's here? I didn't have that information..." he frowned. "This place is... odd. Displaced from anything I was able to research." He clenched his fist and frowned but soonafter relaxed it and sighed.

"No helping it now. We'll make something work."

[megabuster]

"Yeah," Rock agreed. "But... I know you said you had resources, but how DID you manage to get here anyway?" he asked curiously.

[ineedabreakman]

"That's non-consequential." he stated seriously. The device that helped me turned to dust the moment I arrived, kind of made me realize this was a one-way trip and that things were rougher than I initially thought. As to where I initiated the process..." He sighed.

"Some time capsule device back in our world."

[megabuster]

"That's... strange," he said, tapping his chin. "But maybe Lucca would be able to make sense out of it," he thought out loud. "C'mon, let me show you the mansion!" he suggested.

[ineedabreakman]

"I was going to just set up in the outskirts..." C'mon Rock, you know better...

[megabuster]

"Well... Why bother when you could stay with all of us?" Rock asked hopefully. "Roll's here too, and I know she'd love to see you!"

[ineedabreakman]

"Hrm..." he looked at the mansion for a few before letting his shoulders drop. "I'll check it out. If it ain't something I feel is good in general I'll keep to my plans."

[megabuster]

"Great! That's all I ask, just to give it a chance!" he beamed. Things were looking up...!

[ineedabreakman]

"Yeah yeah, don't get your hopes up. I just said I'd give it a look." Hrmph...

Rock with his chiperness... Was hard to stay mad or serious around him.

[megabuster]

"I understand, don't worry," Rock said. It was still better than nothing, at least! He grabbed Blues' hand and led him towards the mansion, talking a mile a minute about things that had happened to him.

"...And I met robots from the future! Weird, right? But it's true!"

[ineedabreakman]

Blues was a bit aprehensive about letting Rock lead him over and many times did he think about just pulling his hand back and just walking along. But seeing Rock happy... He didn't know, he should just stay back and let him lead his life or whatever he had going on here and keep away as usual.

Alas, he'd give him the time for now... "From the future? Like us or?" That definitely got him curious.

[megabuster]

"Sort of," Rock said. "They're... It's a little hard to explain. But they're from hundreds of years in the future, and are based on a robot design that Dr. Light hasn't even built yet. But they have free will! They don't have to obey their programming."

[ineedabreakman]

Blues remained quiet for a while before nodding. "As it should be... No one should be slaves to programing. Or anything else."

[megabuster]

"I agree. But... Well, it was a little more complicated than that too," Rock added ruefully.

Zero, Harpuia, Fefnir... They had the capacity to be anything, and they chose to follow their functions. It took a concerted effort on Rock's part to convince them to even try to be anything else. Was it selfish of him to want them to change? To want them to work on fitting in? He hoped not...

"The future they came from wasn't exactly the nicest place."

[ineedabreakman]

"If it was in the directions our was heading, I wouldn't think it would be... Not unless bots like you could be everywhere int he world." His cynical side will always be there. He'd seen things, he'd experienced them and the various grays of life in general. Rock was always one of those few lights in a dark tunnel and even at a time, he resented that.

"Maybe... And I know fighting for peace is a full time job," Rock added. "But that doesn't mean it's hopeless."
